FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Tom Brady is set to return to Gillette Stadium today to be inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.

The former quarterback, also known as the “greatest of all time,” entered the NFL as the 199th overall selection in the 2000 NFL Draft.

He spent 20 years with the Patriots, and well on to win six Super Bowl titles, nine AFC Conference crowns, and 17 AFC East Division titles.

Brady spent three seasons with the Buccaneers, going on to win an additional Super Bowl, before retiring for good in 2023.

He finished his career as the most accomplished player in NFL history with 251 wins, 15 Pro Bowl berths, 7 Super Bowl wins, 7,753 completions, 89,214 passing yards, and 649 touchdowns.

Back in September of last year, owner of the Patriot’s Robert Kraft announced that he would wave the four-year period to induct Brady into the team’s hall of fame in a ceremony that fans would have the opportunity to attend.

“When Tom Brady announced his retirement after 23 NFL seasons, there was only one place I wanted him to be on opening day — right here at Gillette Stadium, with 65,000 of his closest fans,” said Kraft last year.

“Patriots fans didn’t get an opportunity to appropriately thank Tom when he left. I wanted to give them that opportunity,” he said.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will be hosted inside Gillette Stadium starting tonight at 7 p.m. with many anticipated celebrity guests.

Officials have advised traffic restrictions will take place as of 4 p.m.

Officials have also recommended using Route 95, 195, or 140 to get to Route 1.

The MBTA commuter rail is offering round trip special even train service from Boston to the ceremony, and there will be free parking on the stadium-owned lots on Route 1.

As of this morning, resale tickets are still available to purchase.

If you can’t make it to the event, Youtube will be live streaming the event here.
