New game-changer satellite launches as part of joint U.S.-India partnership

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — NASA is about to launch a new satellite and it isn’t just an upgrade, it’s a total game-changer for important information about earth.

It’s called NISAR, and it is the first joint space mission between the U.S. and India.

Dr. Karen St. Germain, NASA Director of Earth Science from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland joined ABC6 Anchor Karah Bailey to discuss this exciting launch.
