New legislative session begins with teacher raises, free school meals on docket

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The new legislative session will begin with Rhode Island putting an emphasis on education at the State House.

Among the items on the docket, $15 million in proposed salary increases for teachers, free school meals for all students and early childhood education access.
