New Lifespan program to offer walk-in addiction treatment appointments

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Lifespan Health System is launching its new program for addiction treatment Tuesday.

“Addiction Care Today,” or ACT, will offer walk-in and same day appointments for people who want to begin treatment for substance use disorder.

Lifespan will be unveiling ACT at the Rhode Island Hospital Tuesday with a medical team, and Senator Jack Reed on hand.

ACT’s offices will be located at the Rhode Island Hospital.
