New parking opens for Pawtucket-Central Falls commuters

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – Commuters in the area of Pawtucket and Central Falls will have extra space for parking going forward.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) announced Monday afternoon that they are opening a new parking lot at the Pawtucket-Central Falls Transit Center.

The new lot will provide about 270 additional parking spots for bus and train commuters.

The lot is free of charge but will not allow overnight parking, per RIDOT.
