New program to aid small Providence-based businesses

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza announced a new program Thursday that will help small Providence-based businesses grow.
Businesses that apply for the program can get help with accounting, finance, graphic design, and social media, among other things.
The Mayor said businesses with 10 or fewer employees have priority, along with people wanting to start up their own business.
“We are thrilled to launch a program that provides technical assistance to our smallest businesses throughout the City and can be shaped with each individual small business owner,” said Elorza.
This program is being federally funded by the City of Providence’s American Rescue Plan Act.
