New study finds high levels of lead at hundreds of Massachusetts schools

A new study found that hundreds of schools in Massachusetts had extremely high levels of lead in the water.

The research tested water in more than 1,000 public schools in the Bay State. From that sample, high levels of lead were found in 605 schools.

It is important to note that the Boston School District, which has 130 schools, was not tested.

According to the Boston Globe, in some cases the results were the same or worse as the levels measured during the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Schools in Taunton, Attleboro, North Attleboro, Fall River, Norton, and New Bedford are on the list.
