PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – There’s a new way for Gold Star families in Rhode Island to honor their loved ones who were killed in war.
There is now a special license plate unveiled specifically for people who have lost a loved one who died defending our country.
It all started with Lynn St. Germain Lundh and her efforts to make this a reality over the past two years.
Lundh’s son Brian, was killed in 2006 while serving.
Rhode Island is one of the last states to have a dedicated license plate for Gold Star families.
If you’re interested in getting a plate you can contact the RI Director of Veterans Affairs office.
