New wooden trolls coming to North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — North Kingstown is getting a new icon on the map the troll map, that is.

The famous wooden trolls, designed by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, have become tourist attractions, including two trolls in Charlestown.

North Kingstown’s troll will be installed at Ryan Park starting Wednesday.

The Lafayette Road entrance to the park is closed to the public, and will remain closed through August 24.

The troll’s design will be kept confidential until its ribbon cutting.
