Newport and Jamestown Bridges reopen for all but ‘high profile vehicles’

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE)- The RIBTA announced that the Newport Pell and Jamestown Verrazzano Bridges are now reopened for most vehicles.
Automobiles, pickup trucks, flatbed trailers and commercial busses may cross the bridges.
RIBTA said that school busses have not been cleared to cross.
Drivers that are denied passage will be helped to turn around safely.
