Newport man wins big after playing his son’s boot camp numbers

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE)- A Newport man won big last month, his decision to play his son’s boot camp numbers paying off.

The man bought his $25,000 winning ticket from Point Wine & Spirts in Newport.

He bet 50 cents on four separate tickets, playing his son’s numbers, 2-0-5-3.

The big winner told the Rhode Island Lottery that he plans to save his winnings and perhaps splurge a bit on Christmas gifts.
