Newport police announce road closures for Aquidneck Island Police Parade

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Newport Police Department announced road closures Tuesday for the Aquidneck Island Police Parade set to take place on Sunday, May 5.

The parade will start at the Hampton Inn in Middletown and end at Newport City Hall.

From 11:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m., Broadway will be closed from Admiral Kalbfus Road to Farewell Street.

There will be detours in place attended by police.
