Newport police searching for man suspected of stealing TIPS from a pizza shop

NEWPORT, RI (WLNE) –  Newport Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of stealing TIPS from a pizza shop.

The theft happened at Mama Leone’s Pizzeria on Bellevue Avenue, according to a post on the Newport Police’s Facebook page.

If you have any information about who this man is or where he may be, Newport Police ask that you contact Det. Sloan at 401-845-5771 or by email csloan@cityofnewport.com.

Police say it’s unclear how much the suspect stole but he was caught on camera stealing out of the tip jar on May 1.
