Newport police seek two subjects in reported missing wallet
NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Newport police are asking for public assistance in identifying two women they say collaborated in removing a wallet from a bank counter.
The incident occurred on December 18 at approximately 7:42 p.m. at the Citizens Bank in the Connell Highway Stop and Shop store.
Police said that one woman appeared to keep an eye out for passersby while the second woman removed the wallet left on the bank teller window counter.
The two subjects were seen leaving the store together on surveillance video, according to police.
