Nice today, but cooler into the weekend

Friday Forecast

Looking for varying amounts of cloudiness around the region today. At times we’ll see a good deal of sunshine through the early afternoon and then later in the day more in the way of clouds will move back in. Highs will end up right where they should be in the upper 60s. Clouds return tonight as lows slip back to the lower 50s.

The weekend starts off on a cooler note as Northeasterly winds prevail and will endure all weekend long. Those winds will help to lock in a lot of clouds for Saturday and while I expect the day to essentially be dry, there is a small threat of a brief pop-up light shower or sprinkle in the afternoon that will strictly be hit-or-miss so outdoor plans should be just fine. However, highs will struggle to reach 60°.

Sunday will feature some sunshine breaking through the clouds and highs will reach the low-mid 60s. High pressure will then start to move across the region on Monday to start our warming trend getting us back into the upper 60s amidst mainly sunny conditions. Tuesday and Wednesday will really warm up under mainly sunny skies as winds become Southwesterly taking highs well into the 70s and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some interior locations touch 80!
