Nineteen people arrested by state police for DUI over July 4th weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – State police announced Tuesday they arrested 19 people over the July 4th weekend for driving under the influence.

The subjects are from almost every town in Rhode Island, as well as multiple towns in Massachusetts, including New Bedford and Roxbury.

Their ages range from as young as 21 to as old as 51.

Rhode Island State Police typically amp up patrols on holiday weekends, like Memorial Day.
