Noir Lounge remains closed after hearing was cancelled

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Noir Lounge on Union Street remains temporarily closed after a hearing was cancelled by the Providence Board of Licenses for a July 25 incident.

According to Providence police, officers responded to the club on July 25 around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a disturbance which resulted in one arrest and and an officer suffering minor injuries.

The next day, on July 26, the Providence Board of Licenses ordered all licenses for the club to be revoked until a meeting on July 29 at 10:30 a.m.

The board cancelled the meeting on Tuesday, which was rescheduled for July 31 at 4 p.m.
