“This is one of the larger house fires we’ve had,” said Chris Coleman, North Attleborough fire chief. “We were able to get here very quickly and save the neighborhood.”

Coleman said they were responding to a fire Monday morning at a nearby Sullivan Tire. They were called to Moran Street around 10:30.

Neighbors in the area watched at a distance.

“You couldn’t even see the house,” said one neighbor. “The whole street was covered in smoke.”

ABC 6 News crews on scene saw dozens of firefighters surround the house, which had visible damage to the first floor.

The siding of the house was melted and falling off.
