North Attleborough outdoor water ban in effect until July 23
NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of North Attleborough said an outdoor water ban had been put into effect until 5 a.m. on July 23.
The city said the ban was put in place due to an “ongoing issue with the Kelley Well No. 1 being off line” as well as excessive heat and water usage.
Heavy usage of water can cause low pressure when the fire department must use water to extinguish fires.
“Please refrain from any outdoor watering, washing of vehicles or washing of exterior surfaces, such as buildings and parking lots,” the city said. “If you have an irrigation system, please make sure that it is turned off and not set on a timer.”
