North Attleborough residents to vote on tax increase to fund new high school

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Tuesday in North Attleborough, residents will vote yes or no on a tax hike to build a new high school.

The construction of the new school would cost approximately $290 million.

The tax increase would be done through debt exclusion.

According to the town’s website, a property owner of a home that costs $596,854 would pay over $1,000 in property taxes a year for a 30-year bond.

Voting begins at 7 a.m. at the current high school.
