North Kingstown convicted murderer not granted parole

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A North Kingstown habitual offender was not granted parole early this week.
The Rhode Island Parole Board decided against granting 61-year-old Raymond McWilliams parole during their meeting on Monday.
McWilliams is currently serving two life sentences for a 2008 crime where he was found guilty of first-degree robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling.
Prior to 2008, McWilliams had been in and out of prison, including 16 years for the murder of North Kingstown resident Peggy Flynn.
The parole board has decided to reconsider the matter in two years.
