North Kingstown nursing home nurse charged with sexually assaulting patient

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Richmond nurse has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a patient at Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini in North Kingstown in December of 2023.

Scott Leski, 54, was charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of patient abuse on July 24 in Washington County Superior Court.

Leski has been ordered held without bail at the ACI.

Leski is accused of sexually assaulting a 77-year-old male patient in the early morning hours of December 16, 2023.

Another employee of the nursing home discovered Leski during the assault, and the victim reported the incident to staff and his family the following day, according to Attorney General Peter F. Neronha’s office.

Leski is scheduled for a bail review/status conference on August 13 in Washington County Superior Court.
