North Providence man arrested after firing at SUV driver

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A North Providence man was arrested on Saturday after firing shots at an SUV driver.

Police said that Jesse Latallie was arrested early in the morning. Surveillance footage from Latallie’s Ring camera, showed him shooting at a fleeing SUV from his driveway on Verdi Street.

Investigators said that Latallie told them that the SUV had been repeatedly ramming into his neighbor’s vehicle, and that he was shooting in an effort to stop him.

No one was injured during the incident and police are considering it to be an isolated act, meaning that all parties knew each other.

Latallie is being charged with felony assault, firing in a compact area, and using a firearm when committing a crime of violence.
