North Providence man arrested for child molestation

A North Providence man has been arrested accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy.

Glocester Police along with RI State Police arrested 19-year-old Robert Volk after an investigation into the alleged molestation.

Police say some time last week they received information about a possible sexual relationship between a 13-year-old male and a 19-year-old male that had taken place in Glocester.

During the investigation, police found that the two met on the internet and began sharing explicit conversations and images.

Police say on two occasions both the minor and Volk engaged in sexual acts in the town of Glocester.

When police arrested Volk, they seized several media devices and methamphetamine from the residence.

Volk was charged with one count of 1st Degree Child Molestation, one count Electronically Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor and one count Possession of a Controlled Substance. All of which are felonies

He was held without bail and is due back in court on 2/5/15 for a bail hearing.
