North Providence Man Arrested For Impersonating a State Trooper

North Providence resident Joseph Simone, 22, was arraigned in Providence County District Court on Wednesday, on charges that he impersonated a RI State Trooper.

The incident took place Tuesday night at the WWE Smackdown! event at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence. The exact details of what happened haven't yet been released.

Simone made headlines in March of this year when he was charged with child pornography, solicitation and extortion. At the time, Simone was an assistant coach at the Moses Brown School.

Because of those charges, Simone was denied bail on this most recent incident.
