North Providence Police arrest ex-Patriot for allegedly assaulting 82-year-old

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Providence Police Department said it arrested a former Patriots player for allegedly assaulting an 82-year-old at a Planet Fitness.

46-year-old Patrick Pass was charged with assaulting a man over 60 years of age and causing bodily injury.

The incident allegedly occurred on Aug. 28 when both Pass and the victim entered a “verbal altercation” over a piece of exercise equipment.

Police said that Pass then allegedly shoved the victim, who fell to the floor and received injuries to their back.

Pass was with the Patriots from 2000 to 2006 and won three Super Bowls with the team.

Pass has a court date in December.
