North Providence Police arrest suspect armed with knife in gas station robbery

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- North Providence Police have arrested a man that was armed with a knife during a robbery at a local gas station.

On Wednesday, police responded to a call for a robbery at the Speedway Gas Station on Mineral Spring Avenue.

The store clerk stated that a suspect entered the store with a knife and demanded money from the register.

After watching surveillance, police identified the suspect as 52-year-old Milton Thomas.

Police arrested Thomas for first-degree robbery.

Thomas is expect to be arraigned at Kent County Court.
