North Providence Police investigating armed robbery

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Police are investigating an armed robbery Friday night in North Providence.

North Providence Police responded to a residence on Mineral Spring Avenue around 11:30 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery.

Officers on scene located a male victim who told Police he was attacked by two men as he was exiting his residence.

The victim described the suspects as two men wearing all black clothing with masks covering their faces.

At least one of the suspects pointed a firearm at the suspect.

The suspects took the victim’s cell phone, wallet, and jewelry before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered no serious injuries.
