North Providence police seeking public assistance in shooting investigation

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — North Providence police are seeking the public’s assistance in the investigation of a shooting victim last week.
Chief Alfredo Ruggiero is asking anyone who had recent contact with 61-year-old Claire Flynn to call the North Providence Police Detectives tip line at 401-437-6418.
Flynn was found shot and killed in her Centredale Avenue home on Wednesday, December 20 after her brother reported to police that he found her face down on her couch.
Flynn had not been in contact with her brother since Thanksgiving.
A December 21 autopsy determined that the death was a homicide, but Ruggiero said the department considers the death an isolated incident.
