NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — A North Smithfield woman is accused of driving under the influence with two children in her car, prosecutors said Wednesday.

The Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office said 30-year-old Samantha Brown was charged with two counts of child endangerment, one count of driving under the influence with a child under the age of 13 as a passenger, and one count of possession of 10 grams or less of cocaine.

The charges stemmed from a traffic stop in Smithfield in September.

Smithfield police arrested Brown, who they allege was driving impaired with two children in her car. Police also said they found Brown was in possession of cocaine.

Brown is set to appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
