Northern Lights dazzle throughout RI, Massachusetts

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Northern Lights illuminated the night sky throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts during a solar storm last night.

NOAA predicted the the strength of the geomagnetic storm to reach an 8 on Thursday evening.

As soon as the sun set, the lights were visible as soon as 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. around Southern New England.
