Norton head-on crash kills one

NORTON, Mass. – State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Norton.

Two cars collided head-on around 6 p.m. Saturday on I-495 South before Exit 10, according to police. A 41-year-old Mashpee man was driving Northbound when he left the roadway, crossed the median and hit the other car.

The driver he hit died, and a passenger in that car was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Mashpee man was sent to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
