Officer taken to the hospital after large street fight on Federal Hill

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A Providence Police officer was taken to the hospital after breaking up a large street fight on Federal Hill on Thursday night.
The officer was sprayed in the face with an unknown substance while he broke up a fight on Ridge St.
Police responded to the scene at about 7:30 on Thursday night after reports of two large groups of women fighting and blocking traffic.
When police tried to break up the crowd two women refused to listen and continued to agitate the other group.
One of the women, Artavvia Godett, was arrested after she ignored police and continued the disorderly behavior.
While officers were arresting Godett, a man later identified as Mario Jackson tried to push police away from her.
Jackson tried running from officers, but was ultimately arrested along with Godett.
A second man, Hakim Pettus shouted at police and refused to leave the scene. Pettus refused to put his hands behind his back, but was eventually taken to the ground and arrested.
Godett was charged with disorderly conduct.
Jackson was charged with obstructing an officer in execution of their duty, resisting legal arrest, and disorderly conduct.
Pettus was charged with resisting illegal arrest and disorderly conduct.
The officer was released from the hospital and is alright.
