Officials identify victim of deadly I-95 crash in Richmond

RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island State Police have identified the victim of a deadly crash that happened on Wednesday on I-95 in Richmond.

According to officials, troopers responded at 2:02 p.m. to a two-car crash on Route 95 North in Richmond.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling north in the right lane was rear-ended by another vehicle traveling at high speed.

Both vehicles veered off the roadway and overturned into the woodline.

State police said passenger in one of the vehicles was later pronounced deceased at Kent Hospital.

The person was identified as Sheila White, age 64, of South Hampton, NY.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
