Officials say multiple people hospitalized after car accident in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — Dunn’s Corner Fire Department said multiple people were hospitalized Monday after a car accident occurred at the intersection of Dunns Corners Bradford Road and Westerly Bradford Road.

At approximately 2:48 p.m., Westerly Dispatch alerted DCFD and Westerly Ambulance of a motor vehicle accident.

In transit, Westerly Police notified the departments that one person was trapped in a car.

At the scene, first responders was able to quickly free the trapped individual from the drivers side of the vehicle, according to DCFD.

Three ambulances were called to the scene, and the Westerly Ambulance Corps transported all patients to a hospital.
