OJ Simpson dies from cancer at age 76
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Former NFL running back OJ Simpson has died at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer.
According to Simpson’s official X account (formerly Twitter), Simpson died on April 11 surrounded by family.
Simpson was tried and acquitted for the 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and restaurant waiter Ron Goldman in 1995.
He was a star running back for the Buffalo Bills from 1969-1977 and the San Francisco 49ers from 1978-1979 and was an actor during and after his playing career.
