Oldest penguin at Mystic Aquarium celebrates birthday

MYSTIC, Conn. (WLNE) — One of the oldest penguins at Mystic Aquarium celebrated his hatch day on Wednesday.

Mystic Aquarium shared on Facebook that red/green, one of the original penguins in the colony at the aquarium, turned 37-years-old.

He was also given a birthday cake, according to staff.

The aquarium opened back in October of 1973.
