One arrested after stabbing in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE)- Portsmouth police have arrested and arraigned a suspect after a stabbing that happened on Wednesday.

The department announced the arrest of 26-year-old Kenneth Young on Monday.

Police said that Young stabbed a 46-year-old man in the stomach at around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

The man was treated at the scene on Ethel Drive by rescue officials from the Portsmouth Fire Department and then taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
