1 arrested after man shot in leg in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said on Monday that one person was arrested after a man was shot in the leg over the weekend.

The shooting happened on Hartford Avenue on Saturday.

Police said  32-year-old Johnathan Valley told officers he was shot by unknown people. He’s expected to be OK.

Investigators said after looking at surveillance video, they arrested 21-year-old Jashua Adames Torres.

No further information was immediately released.
