One dead after overnight crash in Richmond

RICHMOND, R.I. (WLNE)- Rhode Island State Police say that man has died after an overnight one vehicle crash in Richmond.

State police say that the crash happened on Route 3 at around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

After investigating the scene, state police determined that 30-year-old Kyle Lamphere lost control of his Hyundai sedan, drove off of the right side of the highway, and then crashed into a tree.

The vehicle ended up on Route 95 in the northbound lane after the crash.

Lamphere was pronounced dead at the scene and police say that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
