One dead following single-car crash on I-95

RICHMOND, R.I (WLNE) – Rhode Island State Police announced that a Massachusetts man died in a single-car crash early Sunday morning. 

According to the police, the accident happened at 2:45 A.M on I-95 South in Richmond. 

An investigation of the crash revealed that the motor vehicle exited the highway to the right. struck the guardrail and proceeded to ravel back across all lanes of travel before colliding with the center Jersey barrier. 

The driver, 25-year-old Aaron Lee of Randolph Massachusetts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Richmond Fire Department. 

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
