One dead, two injured in Dartmouth car crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — One person was killed and two others were badly injured in a crash on 195 Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a 1998 Honda Civic occupied by two women and a juvenile swerved across all lanes of traffic before hitting a tree at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday, which caused severe damage to the Honda. The occupants had to be extricated by Dartmouth Fire.

One female passenger died at the scene.

The driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Med flight and a child was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with unknown injuries.

Officials are not releasing their names at this time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and there is no word on their conditions at this time.
