One injured after single-car crash in Coventry

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) – One person was injured in a serious car accident in Coventry on Friday night.

Authorities said the accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Harkney Hill Road.

In a release, Coventry police said fire and rescue personnel tended to the driver on scene, before the driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Coventry police said the driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As of Saturday afternoon, there has been no update to that drivers condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
