One More Chance Of Storms This Week

The countdown is on until the fireworks kick off in Providence at 9 PM, and so far, things are looking good for the big show!

As a front to our south finally gets a move on, we’ll have clouds around and a stray shower between 7-8:30 PM. Afterward, clouds decrease, as do temperatures. Lows tonight will be in the mid and upper 60s.

Tomorrow we’ll have a mix of sun and clouds, and it’ll be very warm and very humid. Expect highs along the water in the mid 80s and highs inland in the upper 80s. In the evening, we have some storms to watch out for as another cold front comes our way. Some of these storms could pack a punch with heavy rain, gusty winds, some hail possible and thunder and lightning. With storms moving in here at home between 5-9 PM, timing cuts it pretty close to tomorrow night’s fireworks displays (Warwick and New Bedford at 9 PM, Bristol at 9:30). I expect most of these storms to be gone by 9, allowing the events to go off on time. That said, a straggler is possible. Stay weather aware!

On the flip side, the 4th looks absolutely gorgeous. Upper 70s for the coast, low 80s inland. We’ll have plenty of sunshine and low humidity– perfect weather to enjoy Independence Day!

Saturday is nearly identical to Friday (perhaps a degree or two higher in the afternoon). It’ll be a fantastic start to the weekend.

Sunday, we keep some sunshine around, but mix in a few clouds, highs in the upper 80s, and higher humidity.
