One person shot in Pawtucket home invasion

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket police are investigating an early morning home invasion on 273 Weeden Street.

Detective Lieutenant Timothy Graham told ABC6 News that the home invasion happened at approximately 4:00 a.m. Friday.

The 273 Weeden Street home was broken into as well as another single-family house behind it, which was unoccupied.

Police say a 51-year-old man was shot. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

The victim is expected to survive.

Officers found that both houses contained suspected marijuana grows.
