One sent to hospital after car crashes into house

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — Police said one man has been sent to the hospital after his car crashed into a residence Tuesday evening.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., police responded to a home on Weaver Hill Road in Coventry.

At the scene, police discovered the vehicle had crashed into a telephone pole, and then into a home.

According to Coventry police, the driver was sent to Kent Hospital with minor injuries.

Officers that responded to the scene are investigating the cause of the collision.
