One wounded in Providence shooting incident

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police detectives are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left one victim wounded.

Officers responded to Geneva Street at approximately 8:45 p.m. for a report of a gunshot.

They found a 39-year-old male suffering a gunshot wound to the leg, according to Providence City Hall Press Secretary Anthony Vega.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
