Online Threats Lead to Arrest of Assonet Man

DARTMOUTH, M.A. – (WLNE) An investigation of an Assonet man comes underway this Thursday afternoon after Freetown Police Department with the help of Dartmouth detectives, arrest 28- year-old Justin Alves, of Assonet on two outstanding police warrants.

The most recent warrant upon Alves occurred after initiating threats online to a Dartmouth police officer.

The online threats were taken very seriously by the acting Chief Brain Levesque in which he states how proud he is of the Dartmouth detectives division and their quick reaction to this incident.
