Opioid Working Group formed to allocate prevention funding in Raynham

RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) – Raynham officials announced Wednesday that a new Opioid Working Group has been formed to distribute opioid-prevention funding.

The group is encouraging residents to participate in an anonymous survey to help determine how to best use the funds.

Authorities say Raynham has received $32,710 for the prevention practices, with future benefits projected to total $155,543 by the year 2038.

The group was founded in September of 2023 and includes members of the fire, health and police departments.

The opioid-use survey includes questions about drug use, mental health diagnosis and treatment services.

Officials ask community members to submit their responses by May 1.
