Organizers of PVDFest cancel this year’s event over coronovirus concerns

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – PVDFest organizers announced on Wednesday that they are canceling this year’s event over safety concerns due to coronavirus.

In a social media post, organizers announced that they are indefinitely postponing the festival that is normally slated to take place in June.

The event has been cancelled for the health and well-being of performers, artists, merchants and attendees.

“While we won’t be partying in the streets this June, our team is busy working on creative ways to share some much needed PVDFest magic in 2020, including unveiling three public art installations!” organizers said in a statement.
